ExitMaster Elite Evacuation Chair
It is a legislative requirement that buildings must have an evacuation plan in place for the safe evacuation of all persons present, including those with restricted mobility. Lifts are not advisable and for those with limited mobility stairs are not an option, but these problems can be addressed with the ExitMaster Elite Evacuation Chair.
With an improved passenger capacity of 180kg, single-operator control technology, and four-wheel travel, it offers safer and more dependant passenger and patient evacuation in an emergency. It is supplied with a wall bracket and cover, and complies with legislation to offer a practical and reliable approach to evacuation. It is an ideal upgrade from the ExitMaster Versa Evacuation Chair, featuring all of the same benefits plus more.
Safer and Easier Transfers
The Elite Evacuation Chair has been designed to provide safer, easier, and more dependable passenger transfers in emergencies. It is quick and easy to set up, includes four wheels for steadier manoeuvrability, and improves comfort and safety with operator handgrips, and a passenger safety harness and headband.
The rear wheels feature safety brakes for greater control, which is paramount when rushing out of a building. The chair is also fitted with a top step safety feature, and does not need to be carried down stairs, thus improving safety for both passenger and operator when going both up and down stairs.
SOLOGo Single-Operator Technology
The Elite Evacuation Chair has been designed with Single-Operator Load and Go (SOLOGo) technology. In emergency situations, particularly in business or medical environments, there may not be enough staff on the premises to assist with passenger evacuations. By utilising the SOLOGo capabilities, a single operator can help a passenger into the chair and evacuate them safely from the building.
By ensuring that reduced assistance is required, this frees up more staff to evacuate passengers and patients. This is a potentially lifesaving feature of the Elite Evacuation Chair, as it will help evacuate the building at a quicker rate.
The Elite Evacuation Chair provides an improved passenger capacity of up to 180kg (28 stone). It also includes a footrest and backrest to support passengers in transit, furthering the practicality of the chair by providing enhanced physical support and comfort to the patient, who will already have reduced mobility and may be suffering from some degree of pain, during an evacuation.
An increasing amount of legislation is now in place to instruct such authoritative figures as business owners and building managers of the legal requirements for installing suitable evacuation equipment within the premises. To ensure that these requirements are met, the ExitMaster Elite Evacuation Chair complies with the following legislation:
- British Standards BS 9999 Fire safety in the design, management, and use of buildings
- Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Equality Act 2010
